Medical Communications Executive

Role Description

Supporting the development of clear, accurate, and impactful medical communications that translate complex scientific information into meaningful engagement for healthcare professionals.

In this role, I contribute to the delivery of high-quality, compliant scientific content and support a wide range of medical communication activities across therapeutic areas, working closely with clients and international experts.

Key responsibilities:

  • Developing scientific materials, including slides, reports, summaries, and digital content
  • Translating clinical data into clear, structured, and engaging communication outputs
  • Supporting congress materials, scientific meetings, and expert engagement initiatives
  • Conducting literature searches and synthesising scientific evidence
  • Communicating with international experts and healthcare professionals
  • Managing key client relationships and day-to-day project communications
  • Ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with regulatory and brand guidelines
  • Coordinating timelines and deliverables to support efficient project execution
  • Supporting on-site activities during scientific events and meetings

This role includes travel to international conferences and scientific meetings, supporting both preparation and on-site execution.

Developing strong expertise in medical writing, scientific storytelling, and healthcare communications, while contributing to impactful engagement within the healthcare community.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, Biomedical Sciences, Life Sciences, or a related field
  • 6 months to 1 year of experience in medical communications, medical writing, pharmaceutical marketing, healthcare, or a related scientific/medical environment
  • Strong interest in scientific communication and medical education
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Ability to understand, interpret, and summarise clinical and scientific data
  • High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and quality
  • Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with clients and healthcare professionals
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Willingness to travel for conferences and scientific meetings
  • Familiarity with medical review processes or platforms such as Veeva PromoMats

Nice to have:

  • Previous internship or exposure to pharma, healthcare, or medical communications
